Source reviewedUpdated October 28, 2026

Amos Gould House is documented in the National Register of Historic Places under reference number 80001896. The Owosso inventory gives its location as 115 W. King St. and its listing date as November 4, 1980.[1][2]

National Register record

The National Park Service catalogs the property as “Gould, Amos, House.”[1]

The profile identifies commerce, politics/government as areas of significance.[1]

Its architectural-style field reads “no style listed.”[1]

The recorded period or periods of significance are 1850-1874. The significant-years field lists 1860; 1873. These are designation data, not a complete construction or ownership chronology.[1]

The entry belongs to the National Register’s Owosso MRA multiple-property group.[1]

Distinguishing the two Gould houses

The tour books describe an earlier Gould house moved to 115 W. King Street and a later mansion on Washington Street. Tour appearances at 515 N. Washington are documented in the separate Amos Gould Mansion article, rather than being assigned to this address.[3][4]

Correction, October 28, 2026: The previous photograph showed the Washington Street mansion. It has been moved to that building’s article. This page retains the address and designation data as recorded in the NPS profile.[1]
